When the current legislation covering the supply and standards to follow when making up vehicle number plates was introduced there was an outcry that we were only to be allowed the Euro flag on the left hand border. It was quickly announced that steps would be taken to allow the Welsh,Scottish and English flag to be used but the laws were never passed. After a campaign by a Welsh MP it looks like the Saltire, St Georges Cross and Welsh Dragon will finally be allowed on Euro plates. They will not be recognised in Europe though so a GB sticker will still be needed.
