We in britain are obsessed with health. We go on about the importance of drinking enough water every day, when really free access to clean Tap Water at all is a luxury. In Zambia, the main cause of death- aside from HIV and Aids- are the infectious diseases, that are, tragically, entirely preventable and treatable as well. Lack of access to clean water and sanitation, as well as food shortages has left the majority of the children suffering from malnutrition. In 2008, the Drinking Fountain association made a donation to Village water, which has been used to aid life-saving work in Mambwa.
