As a nurse one of my main goals is to prevent the spread of disease and infections. One of the best tools in my arsenal are Disposable Surgical Instruments.  The use of disposable instruments that are only used one time on one patient have cut down the cases of exposure considerably. Normally there is always a chance even with disinfecting that the item is still contaminated.  I have noticed that most patients seem to prefer knowing that they are the first person to use it. They realize that it cuts their risk to practically none and can put them at ease.
