It’s amazing how fast things change in only a few short years. When I was in high school, it seemed like only the skating crowd wore vans shoes. Now, six short years later, I’m teaching at a high school, and all of the cool kids are wearing vans, regardless of whether or not they’ve ever been on a skateboard. I saw a really cute pair on a girl in my English class the other day. They looked like high top sneakers, but were made of really colorful fabric. They were so above and beyond the classic high top sneaker, and not something I would have expected from vans.
