California’s Proposition 103 Initiative
October 30th, 2008 — Autos & Trucks :: Insurance
As Executive Vice President of State Farm Insurance, has said in commenting on a passage of California’s Proposition 103 Initiative, “A poor person trying to be a good citizen is forced to choose between feeding children or paying insurance on an ‘81 Chevy he desperately needs to get to work.”From the standpoint of the automobile insurers such a result may be viewed as unavoidable. It is, after all only an example, albeit perhaps a harsh example, of the realities of living in a nation of laws and obligations. The disparity that exists between the need to pay for insurance, the premium charged, and the ability to pay indiana auto insurance quote, is perceived to be largely dictated by loss experience and the costs underlying such experience, not greed or prejudice.

Can You Use Biometric Authentication With Any Computer?
October 26th, 2008 — Computers & Technology
I have been hearing a lot about biometric authentication, and I really like the idea of using my fingerprint instead of a password. I am always forgetting my passwords and having to wait for new ones, so I have never set one to get into my computer, and I worry that the information on my laptop won’t be well protected. I love the idea of adding this type of thing, but I am not sure if it will work with my computer. Can you use a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication with any computer, or are there special requirements that your computer needs to meet? Do I need to look into multimodal biometric authentication for added security as well?
Keeping things neat
October 25th, 2008 — Home :: Home Improvement
I really like the floors in my house to be as neat as possible in one of the ways that I have found to do this is to use interlocking foam flooring, because it really does make the place look great. It can be quite expensive, but if you look around you are sure to find some cheap deals and you can save yourself quite a bit of money simply by spending a few hours looking in the department store. I think this is one of the best inventions ever.
Will Eye Scan Become The Standard Way To ID - Identification Systems
October 25th, 2008 — Computers & Technology :: Technology
When we think of verifying ones identity we think of fingerprinting and things of that nature. The truth is that fingerprinting is just one of many identification systems today. Yes identification does include fingerprints, it also encompasses pin numbers, passwords, key codes, ID card, and the list goes on and on. I am sure that one day we will all be able to be identified by some sort of eye scan or an implanted chip inserted just beneath our skin, but until that day comes when we are all flying around on starships and living hand and hand with the Klingon’s we will jut have to stick with the standard ways we now have to tell who is who.
Fade Into You
October 24th, 2008 — Computers & Technology
Most people have probably watched a movie involving some sort of fantasy sequence or content. In many sci-fi and horror films, there will be times when one person transforms into someone – or something – else. These amazing special effects have been around in some form for years. At one time, a technique called crossfading used to be implemented to get the transformation sequence correct. Now, the advancement of image morphing software has allowed these transformations to look seamless onscreen – and frees the actors from certain restrictions in movement they had once dealt with. It’s definitely a new day in film thanks to this type of technology.

Instances In Which A Car Accident Lawyer Is Not Urgent
October 22nd, 2008 — Business :: Legal
Sometimes you just need to know about how much money you are entitled to and you don’t have to hurry to a car accident lawyer. Also, you may want to assure that your insurance provider is looking out for your interest in which case a lawyer can give you good advice on how to deal with the insurance company and whether there is additional insurance available. But for the aforementioned situation you don’t have to be in a hurry. If there is no serious bodily harm resulting from the accident or if the automobile is not badly damaged, then you can settle with the insurance provider or with the other person involved in the accident. This is particularly true if you know and trust the other party involved. You may want to hire a car accident lawyer just in case a problem arises—but sometimes it isn’t urgent or necessary.
