Since I moved from the rural country area of Alabama to Atlanta, I have noticed how many new opportunities there are for me. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my small country church back home.  But here in metro Atlanta, the huge church we go to has so many more activities for teens. You always read how traumatic moving can be for children and teens. For me though, it’s been the best thing to happen to me. My daughter loves the Jonas brothers, and for her 13th birthday her mother and I surprised her with tickets to see them live in concert.  We let her bring two of her best friends, and were able to get front row tickets.  She probably would have been just as thrilled with those, but what we didn’t tell her was that we also got backstage concert passes.  She had no idea that after the concert she would get to meet the brothers and their band.  When the concert was over and the big surprise was revealed she and her friends were crying and screaming.  I think for old folks, we did really well!
