There has been audio video conferencing for quite some time. The way this used to be done was through the use of video cameras, microphones, transmitters and television sets. This method is now obsolete, not to mention expensive, especially when contrasted with new and exciting technologies made possible by the internet. Audio Video Conferencing can now be cheaply done by anyone with a webcam, a microphone, a computer and a reasonable fast internet connection. The former method is a whole lot cheaper than the traditional method and offers so many new additional features, like file transfers and online presentations.
