I saw an ad recently in the newspaper that advertised data analysis services. Initially I believed it must be a new marketing group, but after reading the entire ad, it was for a Business Intelligence company. If you are like me you are probably wondering what in the world a Business Intelligence company does and what the magic quadrant for business intelligence is.
Business Intelligence companies take information from data storage centers called data warehouse or data marts and take information specific to the company that hired them and compiles that data into readable, forecasting models. In essence, a Business Intelligence company helps other companies grow. It is a neat system to have in place.
