I consider massage education as a whole package of learning that leads to understanding of the basic human anatomy and physiology. This helps its students appreciate the appropriate techniques in manipulation of a human body and understand the rationale behind the kneading, rolling and deep pressure methods. It may sound strange that in some schools, the massage program is presented in videos and instructors are room monitors. Strangely enough, instructors at massage therapy schools massachusetts are not allowed to touch their students. How can a student learn the right body manipulation if they never experienced appropriate touch and pressure in massage?
