General Nutrition is a fairly wide topic that refers to nutrition and how it relates to our bodies. We essentially take nutrition from whatever we eat or drink, as well as from sunlight. A very important concept in General Nutrition is that of a balanced diet. A popular aide to help us know the proportions of food that we should eat is the food pyramid and food groups. Typically, we should eat more grains and vegetables and less meat, dairy products and sweets. Vegetarianism is an option that generally ensures good nutrition, but will not likely work for every one due to the restrictiveness.
