When my husband and I were newlyweds, we lived in a small studio apartment. The rent was cheap, which was great, but there was a lot of work that needed to be done. There was only one bathroom and it was in sad shape. Luckily, my husband is handy and we were able to do some improvements in lieu of rent. When we got to the bathroom, we looked at round soaking tubs, small bathtubs and compact tubs to decide what would be the best option. In the end, we ended up with a corner unit with a shower. The bathroom went from scary to nice and our place was much more inviting.
