Whilst there is great job diversity in the fashion field you will find that nearly all of these jobs are concentrated in the regional fashion centers which in the U.S. are situated in New York and California. People looking to establish long term careers in the fashion field must therefore be prepared to move. Whilst there are a number of schools in the U.S. that will offer a Bachelors of Fashion Design, it is harder to find colleges that offer a masters in fashion design. Masters programs in fashion design tend to focus more closely on the theoretical study of design philosophy, as well as the more technical aspects of sewing and crafting.
