When my husband and I first moved into our housing development, the neighborhood hosted its own block party at the end of every summer. Recently, I was speaking with a new neighbor who mentioned that he would really like to start that tradition again. I whole-heartedly agreed, and I am now determined to plan the event with a little bit of delegation to other block residents who seem willing to help. One thing I would like to add is more involvement for the kids. I would also like to give out a small party gift and am considering the wholesale rubber bracelets that you can have customized. I think the glow-in-the-dark ones would be perfect since we often gather into the twilight hours.
